We were contacted by someone from the council with a problem, people aren't visiting our town because they think there is nothing to come and see and they wanted our help to show people what our town has to offer!
Of course we agreed to help, we created our team and our lanyards to show who we are...
One of the tasks we have been given is to create a piece of spiral artwork, as an attraction to try and get more people to want to visit our town, we got practising right away create small spirals focusing on great pencil control and using small hand movements.
We discovered an artist Molly Haslund who creates pieces sprial artwork outside. We observed how she created her artwork using her body and a drawing tool; the drawing tool she uses is called an A-frame. We loved the idea and had a go at making them ourselves.
We have been busy meeting with Matthew from the council...
We spoke to him about our project and the A-frames we made and he gave us much bigger a frames to create art work with, we got busy straight away...
