Using natural materials to make images.
We looked at art by Francis Hatch. She only uses things she finds in the environment to make her art. We went outside into our environment to see what we could find to work with. We made our own 'paint' using soil and water and we experimented painting using dandelions and leaves.
Next we looked at the work of Anna Atkins. She is the first person ever recorded to have made a book of photographs. She used a special type of photograph called a CYANOTYPE. We tried to replicate her work by printing with leaves.We think our work looks very effective.
