Ice Age Spring 17/18

Ice Age Spring 17/18 1 In Stranehone peculiar bones were found...
Ice Age Spring 17/18 2 ...and strange markings.
Ice Age Spring 17/18 3
Ice Age Spring 17/18 4 We investigated and found that the bones...
Ice Age Spring 17/18 5 ...probably came from a long, long time ago...
Ice Age Spring 17/18 6 ... during the Stone Age. To find out...
Ice Age Spring 17/18 7 ...for certain, we'd need to go back in time.
Ice Age Spring 17/18 8 Our lives in the Stone Age were very different.
Ice Age Spring 17/18 9 Shelters were basic.
Ice Age Spring 17/18 10 Nets needed repairing.
Ice Age Spring 17/18 11 Walls were tricky to make.
Ice Age Spring 17/18 12 Fire was very important.
Ice Age Spring 17/18 13 But the ice was melting, and to survive...
Ice Age Spring 17/18 14 ...we decided we needed to travel.
Ice Age Spring 17/18 15 The journey was dangerous...
Ice Age Spring 17/18 16 ...and in order to survive we had to hunt.
Ice Age Spring 17/18 17 We were remorseful...
Ice Age Spring 17/18 18 ... but we needed the food...
Ice Age Spring 17/18 19 and fur.
Ice Age Spring 17/18 20 Not all those in our tribe survived...
Ice Age Spring 17/18 21 ...but we always preserved memories...
Ice Age Spring 17/18 22 ...though our markings...
Ice Age Spring 17/18 23 ... and necklaces.
Ice Age Spring 17/18 24 Our journey was eventful...
Ice Age Spring 17/18 25 ...but us and our babies eventually made it.
Ice Age Spring 17/18 26 To mark the end of our journey we left a print...
Ice Age Spring 17/18 27 ... so that generations would never forget.
Ice Age Spring 17/18 28 And, just maybe, we also left our bones.

Last year...

In our  mantle in the Spring Term we were the 'Science Investigation Team'; a team of scientists with expertise in rocks and soils. We were notified about a hotel collapsing in California because of erosion.

Our client?  Insurance Investigators

Our commission? To investigate the potential reasons for why the hotel collapsed into the sea whilst exploring the properties of rocks and soils. To report our findings to the insurance company so they could decide whether to pay out or not.

The team have been extremely busy.

We spent a lot of time testing rocks and finding out about the different properties. We concluded that the hotel had been built on unsuitable rock and the insurance company would not pay out! The hotel manager was not happy!
