Shape
The children have been learning all about 2D shapes.
This has included:
1) Recognising and naming them
2) Counting their sides and vertices
3) Drawing around shapes and drawing them with a ruler
4) Exploring and making vertical lines of symmetry
5) Sorting them in different ways
Money
The children have learning about coins up to 50p.
1) They have held and manipulated the coins to drawed upon their similarities and differences.
2) They have recognised the value of coins to 20p by using manipulatives.
3) They have practiced making combinations up to 10p and 20p and making the same amount in different ways.
Length and height
The children have begun to measure lines in cm, always remembering to;
1) Use the correct side of the ruler
2) Start at 0
3) Place their ruler at the start of the line they are measuring
