Mini Mantle: 

Mr Past, an elderly gentleman has had a house fire. He has lost all of his artefacts from the past that remind him of his childhood. He requires help to retrieve these memories.

Commission: To travel back to the past to the family home. To take photographs of his home and create a memory book. 

Nursery

Nursery have created a timeline of their work based on seasons. This represents the changes over time linked to the wider world in which they live in, developing their concept of past and present.

The children in Nursery have been exploring the concept of  'past and present' by observing changes over time linked to their learning about Spring. They have been observing and talking about how flowers and seeds have changed as they have grown.

Reception 

We have been using photographic sources to learn about the Great Fire of London. We have been introduced to King Charles II and some different images of the Great Fire.

We have been looking at the equipment used to put out fires in the past compared to what we use in the present - we even had a visit from the local fire brigade to show us the modern day equipment!

We have looked at how the Great Fire of London started and why it spread so quickly.
