Programming a next gen micro:bit is really fun! Year 4 know how to use code to create different effects on the led display - they also debug on the simulator before downloading the code from an iPad. Next they will use them as data loggers in geography and science and maybe even make a game with one!
Click on the link below to see some examples of games made in Scratch. The children had to use repeat loops - either count controlled or infinite (forever). When you load the games, click on the green flag to start and then see what happens when you click on the sprites on the screen. Some of them might surprise you by making a sound!
