Nursery Summer Term 2025

Nursery trip to Attwell Farm - 4th June

What a fantastic day the nursery children have had! The group absolutely love feeding the animals. They used their flat hands to make sure their fingers didn’t get nibbled and they fed the goats and sheep. The children watched the cows, horses alpacas and llamas chewing on grass and galloping through the fields. The children were even able to stroke a guinea pig and rabbit, they loved how soft their fur was. The farm had lots of places to play and the children enjoyed having a go on the tractors, imagining they were a farmer in the field. They especially enjoyed the huge pirate sandpit where the could sail the high seas and dig for treasure. Well done Nursery for your great listening and wonderfully manners all day long.

April 28th -16th May

The nursery team of Lost and Found have finally made it to Mr Enormous. It wasn’t an easy journey. From the rainforests of Brazil the team had to scale a tall beanstalk. They decided to build a ladder and used their imaginative and creative skills to make sure it was long enough to get to the top. The team climbed for a long time until they reached the top and came across a place called ‘Storytown’. They met some of the people who live there and created their own map. Once they had a map they could find their way to Mr Enormous’ castle. He was sobbing so hard that each time he cried the ground shook. The team needed to help Mr Enormous quickly otherwise the whole of Storytown would fall down! The team created posters so the people of Storytown could help them and they started the search. This mantle story has allowed the children to explore traditional tales, plant beans, use their writing and drawing skills to communicate their problem and turn the outside space into Storytown too. The children have been so engaged with their work and are desperate to find Mr Enormous’ egg!
