The Great Fire of London
The children have been learning about a merry King. King Charles II liked to have a party. The town folk were talking lots about him.
Something terrible happened in London September 1666. A huge fire spread across London.
I wonder where the fire started?
We discovered why the fire could spread so quickly. Many of the houses where in desperate need of repairs and lots of wooden woven material was exposed. We looked at how the houses were built in 1666.
The fire was quickly spreading. Lots of people crossed the river Thames on a boat. We could only take three important items with us.
We planned and worked together to put the fire out.
